The shade is, of course, detachable, but does suit the lamp very well. The bulb is included, as is a velcro cable tie in case you find the cable too long. This sleek, modern table lamp gives gorgeous ambient illumination with the included bulb (see pics) but can give off a whiter, stronger light with another bulb of your choosing.
