Feed through switches are easy to work with: The shell unscrews with 2 screws. Your cord (make sure you have no power going to it!) will have 2 wires, the "neutral" wire will bypass the switch, just run it along the space in the bottom. Cut your "hot" wire in half, strip your ends (we recommend a small piece of electrical tape when using our cloth wire), and attach one end of your "hot" wire to one screw terminal, and attach the other end to the other. Done: lights on, lights off! Table-top, floor, and pendant use as well as many other applications, include wiring fans and small appliances.
