These shades can be used on either a table lamp or a ceiling fitting, by CLIPPING ON to the bulb. These are primarily used on 2 /3 / 5/ 8 arm ceiling lights or wall lights to cover the bulbs. You can use 40w regular candle bulbs, or 25w halogen candle bulbs or 7 or 9w low energy candle bulbs.
